Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) has signalled an intent to increase its work in the NHS and public sector by gaining a place on a new framework.
BRG’s brands Berry Recruitment and Wild Recruitment have been named as suppliers on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) and NHS Procurement in Partnership’s Non Clinical Temporary and Fixed Term Staff framework.
The national recruiter will be supplying candidates in administration and clerical roles, as well as IT and ancillary staff including caterers, drivers, security operatives, maintenance workers and specialist tradespeople.
BRG is enjoying rapid growth and works from nearly 40 locations across England and Wales.
The multi-disciplinary recruiter employs more than 200 people and achieved close to £69m turnover in 2018.
Spencer Berry, BRG’s Business Development Director, said: “We already supply a number of public sector bodies and local councils through various agreements.
“But this status is an important development because there was a stringent and competitive tender process.
“The framework is particularly used by the NHS but it is also open to other wider public sector organisations and central government departments.
“BRG’s growth is a combination of organic expansion and acquisitions – but also by becoming suppliers within large organisations such as CCS.
“Our area and branch managers will be working hard to utilise being on this framework not just for our benefit but for that of the staff, clients and the public.
“The roles we can supply through CCS are similar in many cases to those we supply to our existing clients.”
CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
In 2018/2019 it helped the public sector achieve commercial benefits worth £945m.
Berry Recruitment is listed as a supplier for Lot 1 (Administration and Secretarial), Lot 3 (IT) and Lot 6 (Ancillary staff including catering staff, cleaners, drivers and general labour).
Wild Recruitment is listed as a supplier for Lot 1 and Lot 6.
